Our Abitur 30 programme is designed to give an overview of the work needed for the Abitur exam, which is a set of exams taken in the final year of German Secondary School. Although this is the main focus, our students can also come from different countries if they are at a secondary school and preparing for university. The Abitur study will take place during the mornings, but in the afternoon and evening, our young learners will enjoy a range of full-day and half day excursions and on-site activities that will promote the interaction with the rest of the students in our summer school.
The Abitur 30 preparation is one of the programmes that we offer at LAL Torbay. Learn more about the leisure programme we provide.
We choose activities that our young learners will enjoy, but that also promote the practice of their English skills.
I’m very glad of this school and I love this city. First day, I met many new people who are very friendly. I have only one teacher, but in the corridor, I met many other teachers who talked with me and it was nice. My teacher Heilen is very good teacher.
Every time she helps us with everything. My classmates are friendly and with a positive mood. Every other people in LAL are very kind and I’m very grateful for everything here.
It could be in Portuguese, but I preferred to challenge myself and write my testimonial in English. I had Intensive English and it was four lovely weeks in LAL School. It was really good for me to interact with teachers and other schoolmates. My host mother, Bev and her mom were the best people that I met in Cape Town. I really felt at home. I will miss our conversation. Bev was a really mother for me . I have to say thanks for that.
I want to improve my English that’s why I’ve been staying for one month at LAL. It was a good experience because I met people from different countries, new friends and I can practice English everyday.
Cape Town is a lovely place, I really enjoy it. The teachers in LAL teach well and they are so cool. The staff in the school is also sociable. Concerning my accommodation, I like it, my room is clean and has enough space even I shared it.
The English courses and teachers were funny. All staff is very kind, smiled and prepared to help. I was satisfied and felt like at home. The food in lunch was really tasty.
I’d like to take this time to say something about the time I spent in Cape Town, especially the accommodation. Even if my host family is away from here by walking, Ms Bev Lucraft and her mother are friendly and they did everything they could to look after me. I recommend to the LAL to choose that host family to the others students because it is a good stay.
Teachers are good at English and they gave me all English I’m looking for and other facilities to succeed. I’ll recommend other students to take part in LAL.
I have been here for almost six months and it was the best experience of my life, because I’ve met a lot of people and from different countries. They are very friendly and lovely, not just the students but the staff and teachers as well.
